Kings Canyon, California

Kings Canyon National Park is a national park in the southern Sierra Nevada, east of Fresno, California. It incorporated General Grant National Park, established in 1890 to protect the General Grant Grove of giant sequoias. General Grant Grove’s most well-known tree is the General Grant Tree, which is 267 feet tall and the third largest known tree in the world. The General Grant Tree is over 1,500 years old and is known as the United States’s national Christmas Tree.

This was a drive I did the day after visiting Sequoia National Park. The drive to Kings Canyon was amazing initself, followed by the drive through the canyon. At one point you see lots of highway patrol vehicles, sheriff’s vehicles and a helicopter rescue going on which is to do with two Thai students that went missing several weeks ago.
